ridiculous, indeed 04 October 2008 - 02:13 According to Yahoo!Maps, I should drive on the Expressway for about a kazillion miles...Bear Right on US-59 for 5.6 miles Turn Left on I-37 N Take a ramp onto I-37 N and drive for 86.8 miles Take Left exit #142B/Laredo onto I-35 S and go that way for 1.4 miles Take exit #156/El Paso onto I-10 W and drive on that for 5 miles Take exit #565B/First Park Ten Blvd. onto McDermott Fwy and drive in that direction for only a mile Turn Left on N Crossroads Blvd. Bear Left on said boulevard for .2 of a mile Turn Right on Fredericksburg Rd (TX-345-Spur) And finally arriving at 4522 Fredericksburg Rd. to watch a movie. Total elapsed (estimated) time: a bit over 4 hours. There is nothing closer at this point. I shit you not. Now, would I travel all that way for a documentary is yet to be determined. I mean, it would mean a full day of driving almost, and even though I have no qualms about it myself, Mom's another story. Not to mention my budget's not quite up to the task. Maybe next week. Hopefully by then, there'll be some showings a little closer to home, as well. |
